Mozart School of Music Vancouver is a new state-of-the-art music school located on the University of British Columbia campus. Because of its proximity to a number of elementary and secondary schools, it will offer before and after school lessons and programs as well as lessons at lunch hour and on weekends catering to the needs of busy families. Our teachers are trained professionally and bring excitement, passion and strong pedagogical standards to every student. There is a spirit of excellence fostered as soon as you step into the school. The end result is to draw out of every student an interest in music and an ability to provide creative expression through strong technical skills.
We are excited to announce that we startied a new "Mozart" Orchestra! Conductor: Rachel Read, Practices began January 15th from 7-8 p.m. All students who play string and band instruments are welcome! Bring your friends. This is for intermediate/advanced level players.
The Mozart Orchestra performed at the BMO Marathon on May 6th. We all had a great time! The runners really appreciated the music!
We are also excited to have had Dr. Sasha Starcevich for an advanced piano masterclass on January 15th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the school.
Our 2nd piano masterclass was held on February 11, 2012 conducted by international pianist Dr. Sara Davis Buechner. What a wonderful event this was.
On June 2nd, we will welcome Mary Thomson, cellist, to conduct a masterclass for cello students. Outside students can audit this masterclass for $25.00
We are happy to announce that we are now offering certified speech level singing with instructor Alida Annicchiarico.
